The Immigrant Garden Trailer was used in 1999 to promote one of the first digital films made in America. The film was produced in rural Washington State by a group of young people who had never made a film before. Part of a non-profit media-literacy program mentored as a $42 continuing ed class, the project went on to win a media excellence award at the Dallas, TX 2002 AECT festival as well as a Dove Seal of approval.
